Frequently Asked Questions

Here is some information you may require, before booking a place for your child.

Are your primary tutors qualified teachers?

Yes, I am a fully qualified primary teacher.  I am fully GTCS registered and PVG checked.

Where do you tutor?

Our Prestwick studio is distraction-free, allowing the children to focus on the activities.

Why do you tutor in groups?

Collaborative working is great for young children as they can work together, learn alongside each other and share ideas. Working in small groups also allows the children to actively participate in games which bring an element of fun to tutoring sessions and helps relax anxious children. Our parents tell us collaborative tutoring is great for boosting self-esteem and they have noticed the benefits. Our methods really do work and teachers have reported they have seen the benefits back in school.

How big are the primary tuition groups?

All of our standard learning groups are capped at 4 children.

How much does a tutoring session cost?

Use the contact form to request fee details.

Do you tutor online?

Yes, we can work online.

Are you open during the school holidays?

YES! We are open throughout the school holidays i.e. Easter, Christmas and the summer. Children attending termly are able to continue their sessions seamlessly through the holidays. We are there for your children when they need us most! Most children don’t see their private tuition sessions as ‘another school lesson’, they see it as fun and love attending! Children feel as though they are attending a fun club rather than going to school. We listen to our little learners and are guided by how they feel. We firmly believe happy children learn easier.

What happens if my child can't make a session?

Cancellations must be acknowledged 24 hours before the booked session, otherwise 50% of the session fee will be charged.
